Chia seeds are a full of fibre, protein, good fats, calcium and magnesium. If you suffer from constipation they can be helpful, but don’t go over board and ensure you have lots of water when eating chia seeds. If you suffer loose stools frequently adding chia to your diet can be highly beneficial too as it is a great bulking agent.

Flaxseeds are also a great source of omega fatty acids, fibre and nutrition. They are demulcent which means they soothe the gut lining. They also feed the good bacteria in the gut.
